While watching all of the sexy swimwear strutting down the runway at Fashion Week Swim in Miami this week, we spotted a few just-as-hot hairstyles, perfect for these scorching July days.
So we emailed the photos of our favorites to celeb hairstylist (and Miami mainstay) Oribe, and he shot back his step-by-step instructions for recreating the looks!

It’s been a long time since we’ve seen the pop star let her hair go this curly — and we love it! Summer is the perfect time to go with your natural texture, and Selena looks beautiful doing it.

I love my curly hair now, although I wasn’t a fan of my locks growing up. My friends all had sleek straight hair and most of my family members have wavy hair. I felt awkward. I didn’t understand why I couldn’t get a brush through my tight curls, while all the other girls could comb their hair during recess. More often than not, I ended up pulling it into a ponytail. But eventually, I found solace in music, novellas and films—not from the lyrics or the plots, but from the confident curly-haired Latinas I saw in the spotlight.

I want to let you in on my secret hair-beautifying weapon: IC Hair Polisher Daily Hair Treatment. I’ve been using this serum for years and I find that it does it all: adds shine, tames frizz, doesn’t weigh down my hair and most importantly doesn’t feel greasy.

Do you rinse out all your conditioner or leave some on when you wash your hair? I leave a small amount on instead of removing completely. I feel this helps keep my hair hydrated and it doesn’t get as frizzy. I’ve noticed the difference when I leave on too much, though, because my curls seem dull. This got me wondering if I should be leaving any regular conditioner on to begin with.

What should you look for when buying a flat iron? We surveyed a bunch of chicas who regularly straighten their hair and compiled this list of recommended tools. Each one fulfills the major criteria: They straighten your hair without burning it, they won't break or fall apart, and their price is a true reflection of how much they deliver on their promises. Test one out for yourselves, and let us know how it treats your locks!

To look extra fly for her cousin's wedding, Mariel Concepcion decided to put a little oomph in her hairdo. The gorgeous, 28-year-old associate editor of Dominican descent normally wears it naturally curly with tight ringlets, but she decided to kick it up a notch and put a hot curling iron to it to further define the look. "I thought, 'I look fabulous,'" she says, "but as soon as I walked in, the first thing one of my cousins told me was that he had a bottle of gel in his car to lend me if i needed it!"
