Photos captured from former New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez's home surveillance system show him holding a gun hours before - and minutes after - his friend was shot to death, authorities said.
The photos are the public's first look at images that appear to show Hernandez holding a gun both before and after the killing. They were among more than 100 pages of court records released Thursday by Attleboro District Court.

The Bristol County sheriff says former New England Patriot Aaron Hernandez has been moved to a new cell block where he does not have interaction with other inmates.
Sheriff Thomas Hodgson said Hernandez was moved Monday to a single cell after spending five days in the medical unit. Hernandez is also reportedly allowed out of his cell for three hours a day instead of just one.

The Jodi Arias trial hit an expected turn today after the convicted murderer’s defense lawyers asked for a mistrial and permission to withdraw from the case. On May 8th, Arias, 32, was found guilty of first-degree murder for killing her ex-boyfriend, Travis Alexander, in his home in Arizona. During the trial, she eventually admitted to shooting him in the face, stabbing him more than 20 times and then slitting his throat ear to ear.

According to a new study, many Latinos admit they are less likely to report crimes because local police are more involved in enforcing immigration laws, which has led to an increase in deportations.
