The real-life story behind The Perfect Game, opening April 16, is one for the ages. In 1957, a group of boys from Monterrey, Mexico with little baseball-playing experience became the first non-U.S. team to win the Little League World Series. They were led by a man who was once a pitching coach and then a janitor for a major league team. They overcame racism, lack of money and visa woes to make it to the championship.

We’re sure Cheech Marin, 62, is still high from his February 17th engagement to his longtime girlfriend, Natasha Rubin. People reports the Cheech & Chong actor proposed to Rubin, a classical pianist, during dinner at the elegant L.A. restaurant Giorgio Baldi. “The couple are thrilled and looking forward to sharing their special day with close friends and family," says his rep. Marin and Rubin will marry in his Malibu home this summer.
