The number of people from El Salvador, Honduras and Guatemala seeking asylum in the United States has quadrupled in the past five years, Fox News Latino reports. This number comes from internal figures from the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), which were obtained by The Associated Press.

A powerful earthquake off the coast of Honduras destroyed more than two dozen homes early Thursday, killing a teenage boy and injuring countless others.
