Selena Gomez is going where many, many other celebrities have gone before: the fragrance aisle! She’s releasing a new perfume set to hit Macys in mid-may. While the original name was “kissable”, it’s now just a namesake fragrance with notes of orange and vanilla.
We caught up with Selena to get the inside scoop on her new perfume.
What inspired the fragrance? Why'd you choose now to launch?

Pop star Christina Aguilera wanted to create a scent that would make a woman feel confident and glamorous all the time (attributes the starlet seems to project herself—even in the face of a tough divorce). So she made two: one for day, one for night (each is $29 and now available exclusively at Kohl’s and kohls.com).

Daisy Fuentes is set to roll out her fifth fragrance this coming February, and we had the chance to catch up with the sexy cubana while getting a sneak peek of the scent.
As we spritzed, Daisy offered up this pearl of wisdom regarding beauty: “Be mysterious. These days it’s so easy to share everything about yourself on the Internet and keep nothing for yourself, but I think it’s so much sexier to maintain some mystery.”

Macy's department store just released their latest star-studded commercial, and guss who made an appearance? Our very own Jennifer Lopez, looking every bit the diva she is!
In the spot, she is framed by a luscious garden and is holding the bottle for her 16th (!) fragrance, entitled Love and Glamour. Joining Jenny on the block is Martha Stewart, Jessica Simpson and even La Lopez's ex-flame P. Diddy.

Celebrity fragrances are nothing new. In the last few weeks, Sarah Jessica Parker launched SJP NYC; Beyoncé debuted her first perfume Heat; and Kim Kardashian has been all over the place promoting her eponymous aroma. It’s usually the sweet smell of success that spurs stars to create their own scent for others to wear.

Already the number one selling women’s fragrance in New York City’s flagship Macy's department store after only six days on the floor, Beyoncé’s first fragrance, Heat, is generating some…well, you know. The only thing hotter than the sales of this sweet juice is the ad campaign, shot by "Single Ladies" video director Jake Nava. The spot features a writhing Beyoncé in a clingy, silky slip of a dress—which does actually slip off her back at one point in the video—singing the smokin' hot classic tune, "Fever."

2010 is Zoë Saldana's year and apparently, we're not the only ones who think so! Following in the footsteps of Salma Hayek and Reese Witherspoon, Saldana was just named the face of a new fragrance being released by Avon.

The list of celebrities marketing their own perfumes just got a little bit longer. Singer Paulina Rubio plans to release ORO by Paulina Rubio in March ’09. The undoubtedly groundbreaking fragrance is described as “an elegant floral oriental array of sparkling citrus that is awakened by hints of espresso bean and peppered floras, while being sweetened by a touch of vanilla.” We think that’s just a fancy (albeit confusing) way to say you’ll be thanking the heavens for finally making it possible for you to smell this famous.
