Many Venezuelans have begun to ponder life without their leader. Hugo Chávez, who has ruled the Latin American country for the past 12 years, has been seen only sporadically in public lately and revealed that he is battling cancer on June 30.

Venezuelan president Hugo Chávez revealed that he is battling cancer and recently had a tumor removed in Cuba, making his political future uncertain.
The politician appeared on television Thursday evening looking quite thin as he read a prepared speech with a serious and at times sad expression. He said he is resolved to "be victorious in this new battle that life has placed before us."

Ex-Menudo star Robi Draco Rosa has cancer. According to People en Español, the news was announced to press by the 41-year-old singer’s publicist, Angelo Medina. After multiple exams and visits to medical specialists in the U.S., Medina said a cancerous tumor was found in Draco Rosa’s stomach, near his liver. The Grammy winner is currently in special treatment in Burzynski Clinic in Houston, Texas. Medina asked his fans to not give up on prayers for his client.

News broke at the end of last year that Brazilian straightening treatments contain formaldehyde (even those that claim to be formaldehyde free). Formaldehyde is the same ingredient used for embalming and is a known carcinogen, which means that it can cause cancer and a host of other very serious health concerns. More and more stylists who perform straightening treatments regularly have come forward complaining of nose bleeds, eye irritation, and breathing difficulties.
