For 6-year-old brain cancer patient, Nico Castro, Halloween is the most important day of the year. The young boy, who was diagnosed with medulloblastoma, is undergoing chemotherapy at the Kaiser Permanente’s Oakland Medical Center in California.
Although Nico was cleared for treatment in time for Halloween, he grew concerned for other sick children who may not be home for the special holiday. “I don’t want them to miss out on candy,” said Nico to Today.com.

Patricia Garcia, 25, has the soul of a survivor. The Mexican newlywed from California was diagnosed with a rare type of tumor that is effecting her lungs and heart. She is currently treating her three-malignant thymoma at the USC Hospital in Los Angeles. As treatment expenses continue to mount, her family launched a Give Forward campaign to help with medical costs.

Sofia Vergara is joining the fight against cancer.
The Modern Family star, and cancer survivor, will participate in the third annual Stand Up to Cancer telethon airing this Friday on a variety of networks including, ABC, NBC, Mun2, and HBO Latino. The Colombian actress will share the stage with a long list of celebrities including Alicia Keys, Matt Damon, Jessica Biel and many more.

There’s no doubt that ex-Menudo star and mega-producer Robi Draco Rosa has had an incredibly tough year fighting cancer. The heartbreaking news of a tumor inside the 42-year-old musician’s stomach was announced by his publicist earlier this year, and since then, we haven’t heard much from Draco Rosa while he underwent treatment.
Until yesterday, that is.

At the launch for his latest fragrance at his gorgeous country home in Kent, Connecticut, fashion designer Oscar de la Renta, who celebrated his 79th birthday on July 22, admitted that his experience with cancer inspired his gorgeous new scent, Live In Love.
"it's given me a warning to fully appreciate life, love, and nature," said the iconic half-Dominican, half-Puerto Rican designer, who had been diagnosed earlier this year and is now cancer-free. "The name really represents my life now. It's about loving yourself and loving life."
