Alex Rodriguez's legal team has gathered extensive additional evidence since he filed a lawsuit accusing Major League Baseball and Commissioner Bud Selig of trying to polish their images and destroy the third baseman's career and reputation, his lawyer said Thursday.
At a Manhattan federal court hearing, attorney Jordan Siev said his law office has gotten more evidence nearly every day to support its lawsuit accusing MLB and Selig of going on a "witch hunt" to ruin Rodriguez's reputation and career. He said the defendants went "way over the line."

St. Louis Cardinals outfielder, Carlos Beltran, is just one of the eight Latinos up for the Roberto Clemente Award this year.
According to NBC Latino, the award is given annually to the MLB player who "demonstrates the values Clemente displayed in his commitment to community and understanding the value of helping others." One winner is selected out of the 30 nominees and announced during the World Series.

The 12-time All-Star was practicing before the Yankees game against the Kansas City Royals, when his right knee buckled against the wall as he went for a fly ball. He dropped to the ground as fellow player Alex Rodriguez uttered “oh, my God” from across the field.
