The Latin Billboard Awards, the annual award show that honors achievements in Latin music based on sales and radio play, was held in San Juan, Puerto Rico, on April 29, 2010. With mutiple performances and presentations from all the biggest names in Latin music, the biggest surprise of the night was Ricky Martin, who spoke out against Arizona's recently-passed SB 1070 law. "You are not alone. We are with you. Put a stop to discrimination.

Though Lady Gaga has been getting a ton of the attention from the media these days, she is going to be forced to share the international spotlight when her Monster Ball tour stops in NYC tonight. Aventura front man Romeo recently talked to the NY Daily News about the group, its latest album and fatherhood.
When talking about The Last, which drops in April, Romeo explains one song titled "Gracias" is dedicated to the group’s fans. "I tell them that I’m indebted to them for their infinite love," he says. And with the success of the album’s first chart-topping single, "Por Un Segundo," Aventura is clearly feeling the affection.

The Billboard Latin Music Award nominees have just been announced, and we're happy to say that while the list of artists up for awards is still mostly male—with Flex, Enrique Iglesias and Aventura at the top—it's also sprinkled with a couple of talented females, like mexicanas Julieta Venegas and Jenni Rivera.

Coming off the heels of their Grammy win last weekend, reggaeton stars Wisin y Yandel have revealed that they're working on the followup to Los Extraterrestres, their chart-topping and, now, award-winning album.
