This year, many of our Latina celebs have carved time aside from the red carpets and escandalos to give back. And what a tremendous year it’s been!
Some of our fave celebs have placed others before themselves through countless philanthropic endeavors; we’ve seen our seasoned Latinas continue to give, as well as a younger generation emerging with their own worthy causes in mind. Very little feels better than giving back, so we decided to round up our list of Latinas with big hearts – and (of course) big wallets. Check out our list below:

— America Ferrera looks amazing in her new Broadway show Chicago! According to Just Jared, the 27-year-old Honduran American actress was photographed this week at the Garrick Theatre in London, England. In the musical, Ferrera plays Roxie Hart, a fictional showgirl. After she’s done with Chicago, Ferrera is set to make her Broadway debut in The Miss Firecracker Contest.

America explains, “It wasn’t just about her being Latina, it was her being the epitome of an American girl.”Even though America identifies with the American culture, she doesn’t forget about her Latina roots.
