Even TV stars are having money problems. América Ferrera owns two homes—one on the West Coast and one on the East—but the actress recently put her Hollywood Hills pad on the market for $1.5 million after Ugly Betty moved its set to New York City.
“She’s sad about it, but she doesn’t want to pay for two places,” says a source to Life & Style.

Uh-oh. Things are not looking pretty for Ugly Betty. EW reports ABC is benching Betty beginning March 26 and replacing it with episodes of Samantha Who? and the new Megan Mullally-Cheryl Hines comedy In the Motherhood. The network says, "Ugly Betty will return to Thursday nights at 8:00 p.m.

Just before Christmas, it was announced that Lauren Velez, the boricua actress most known for her role on Showtime's Dexter, will join Ugly Betty as a guest star for multiple episodes in 2009. So far, all we know is that Velez will play Elena, a nurse who "enters the lives of the Saurez family"; the folks at ABC are keeping all other details under strict wraps because her role is directly tied to a major turn of events on the hit show--i.e., someone dies!
