In From Prada to Nada, a Latina spin on Jane Austen's classic novel Sense and Sensibility, Camilla Belle and Alexa Vega play sisters who learn to embrace their Latin culture.
Belle is Nora, a laid-back, low-key girl, while Vega is Mary, a spoiled and materialistic girl who's wild and crazy. Wilmer Valderama and Oscar-nominee Adrianna Barraza (Babel) also star in the film.

Alexa Vega is getting married to her boyfriend Sean Covel, who produced Napoleon Dynamite. Covel, 33 proposed to Vega, 21 at a film festival in his home state of South Dakota in Nov. 2009.

Since filmmaker Robert Rodriguez produced Predators, the reboot of the 80s franchise dropping in theaters across the country tonight, we weren't at all surprised to learn that Alice Braga's character, Isabelle, is seriously badass. After all, Rodriguez loves to fill his films with strong women who wreak as much havoc as the male characters—something he attributes to having grown up with five sisters.

Latinos don’t fit into any one mold. We come in all shapes, sizes and colors—and our TV stars are no exception. Last week, Latina.com reader Maria Ortiz proved that when she pointed out that Glee star, Lea Michelle, is actually part-Spanish (she has Sephardic Jewish heritage) on our Facebook fan page. Maria’s observation prompted us to think of other Latin TV stars who people might not know are Latin.
