One of our favorite Afro-Latinas (La La Anthony) is releasing her new cosmetics line "Motives for La La" today! The Puerto Rican reality star noticed a void in the beauty market in catering toward African-American and Latin women, so she teamed up with Motives by Loren Ridinger to create products for every skin tone. How cool is that!?

Throughout her long and successful career, Puerto Rican actress Rosie Perez hasn’t changed much—she’s stuck to her gorgeous, rich brunette hair color, kept her skin clear and bronzed, and added, if anything, a touch of lip color. For our last day of Afro-Latina week, we’re obsessing over Heather Hemmens’s pretty makeup from her appearance at OK! magazine’s Hollywood’s Sexiest Singles event. It’s the perfect look for a sexy summer night out—and the shades will look great on every Afro-Latina skin tone!
Here’s how to copy it:
1. Line your entire eye with a black liquid eyeliner and a black pencil eyeliner (stacking the formulas stops them from smudging), then apply mascara to top and bottom lashes.

In honor of our Afro-Latina week on Latina.com, I stopped by the Marie Robinson salon here in NYC, where Marie set out to show me—and my lovely model Quiana—how to lighten up Quiana’s gorgeous, natural hair color using a box of dye from the drugstore. Follow her steps to copy this fresh summer look!
1. Marie chose Clairol Natural Instincts Vibrant in 9A Light Cool Blonde ($9, clairol.com). Despite Quiana’s warm skin tone, Marie picked a cool, ashy blonde shade so that the color wouldn’t turn too brassy.
