Jessica Alba recently signed on for The One campaign's PSA to bring awareness to the masses about the recent drought and famine in Africa that has killed at least 30 thousand children over the last three months. It's a horrific disaster made all the worse by the fact that famine is totally preventable and man-made. Want to learn more? Tonight on MTV Tr3s’ reality series, Quiero Mi Boda, we meet 25-year-old Jessyca and 28-year-old Osaze, a Texan couple who share the same religious faith but very different cultural customs. Jessyca was born in Mexico and Osaze was born in Washington, D.C. to Nigerian parents and because their respective cultures mean a lot to them, figuring out how to mesh both backgrounds on their special day proved a challenge. They managed to do so, African dancers and the Virgin Mary included.

Alejandro Sanz is known to advocate change for nations under distress, especially Africa. In an effort to aid the disadvantaged areas of Africa, the Spanish singer-songwriter announced he would release an album titled, Sin Fronteras. Sin Fronteras is named after the association he plans to help, Médicos Sin Fronteras (MSF). MSF offers emergency medical assistance to populations in distress in more than 70 countries.

Colombian singer-songwriter Juanes took time off during his busy recording schedule this past Saturday to receive an award for his humanitarian work at the annual Fedex/St. Jude Angels & Stars Gala in Miami. The event was a benefit for the St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, a pediatric cancer research center.
