Selena Gomez Earns First No. 1 on Billboard 200

So who did Gomez elbow for the number one spot? Believe it or not, Jay Z. Yes, Gomez’s pop album bumped 43-year-old Hov’s Magna Carta… Holy Grail down to No. 2 with 77,000 (down 40%).

Stars Dance is no joke, ya’ll. Previously, Jay Z’s labor of love ruled the list for two weeks.

It has definitely been a good year for Gomez. Last month, the beloved superstar was thrilled to find out that her “Come And Get It” single reached the number one spot on the charts – a first for her.

“This has been 1 of my proudest achievements & I couldn’t do it without everyone! So grateful,” Gomez tweeted after she found out, complete with an attached image of the chart list, and a YouTube video of her reacting emotionally to the news.

Keep it up, Selenita!
