Ricky Martin's 8 Most Explosive Performances of All Time!

With Ricky Martin on the cover of our February 2012 issue (on newsstands January 10th!), we decided to take a look back at the Puerto Rican superstar's most explosive performances of all time. Here are eight of our favorite Ricky performances!

It feels like someone raised the temperature in here? No – it’s just a performance of Ricky Martin with Christina Aguilera from a few years back. Martin and the half-Ecuadorian singer has amazing chemistry during their duet “Nobody Wants to be Lonely.Watch the video of their performance below and listen to how their vocals intertwine perfectly.

Go, go, go Ricky! Below, check out a performance of Martin singing his smash hit “The Cup of Life. The vibrant song was the official song for the 1998 FIFA World Cup and was a favorite in many countries around the world.

3. Ricky Performance: 3

We took it back with this one! We’re talking about decades-ago back. Check out an adorable and much-younger Ricky below performing the Spanish version of “Oh My Love” with his old boy band Menudo. What a performer! Ricky Martin went from serious to wildly energetic in a back-to-back performance of “She’s All I Ever Had” and “Livin’ La Vida Loca. The drastic change in tone still kept up captivated. Check out the video below:

We know we mentioned “The Cup of Life” already, but here’s another one for ya! The sexy Boricua superstar pumped life into the 1998 Grammy Awards with his amazing performance, which included a line of percussionists moving their way down the aisle towards the stage. Take notice of his leather pants and fitted sweater… sigh.

Check out Ricky Martin’s explosive and memorable performance with Andy Garcia, Gloria Estefan and the late Queen of Salsa Celia Cruz. The performance took place in at the first-ever Latin Grammy Awards in 2000 and was a tribute to the late Tito Puente. Check out their performance below:
