Fruit Marinated in Sangria

If you love the fruity, refreshing taste of sangria, try this dessert.

INGREDIENTS

1 1/3 cup red wine

1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons frozen orange juice concentrate

Juice of 1 lemon

1/2 cup sugar

8 cups prepared fresh fruit (any combination of the following: sliced banana, mango, tangerine, papaya, pineapple, apple, pear, orange)

Lemon and tangerine slices

PREPARATION

Whisk together the wine, orange juice, lemon juice, and sugar in a small bowl. Place the fruit in a glass bowl. Pour wine mixture over top. Toss gently. Cover and refrigerate for 2 hours. Using a slotted spoon, transfer fruit to large glass goblets. Drizzle with desired amount of marinating liquid. Garnish glass rims with lemon and tangerine slices. Makes 12 servings.
