Win a Date with Colby

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. Open only to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia, 18 years of age or older. Void in Puerto Rico and U.S. territories and possessions and where prohibited by law. Employees of Sponsor (as defined below), and its affiliates, Konvict Music / Interscope, ICED Media, and Shvitz Boutique ("Promotional Partners") respective parents, affiliates subsidiaries, and advertising and promotion agencies, and members of their immediate family (parent, spouse, child and sibling and their respective spouses, regardless of where they reside) and those living in the same household, whether or not related, of any of the above, are not eligible to participate or win the prize. By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the judges and/or Sponsor, which are binding and final on matters relating to this contest. Contest is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws

TO ENTER: Between 12:01 a.m. Eastern Time ("ET") on August 4, 2008 and 11:59 p.m. ET on August 18, 2008 (the "Entry Period"), Sponsor is conducting a contest asking entrants to submit to self portrait photograph ("Photo") and a brief 150 word story ("Story") about "Why you think you’d be Colby's perfect date." ("Topic"). To enter, participants must log on to the contest page of the Latina.com website, located at http://www.latina.com, during the Entry Period, and follow the directions to complete and submit an entry ("Entry/Entries"). Entries must be received by 11:59 p.m. ET on August 18, 2008 to be eligible. All entrants must focus on the Topic described herein. Story and Photo must be the entrant's original, previously unpublished work and all Entries (including Photo) become the property of Sponsor, will not be acknowledged or returned and may be used by Sponsor in any manner or media in perpetuity without compensation. Story must be written in English and any plagiarism and/or failure to properly identify non-original material in Story by an entrant will result in such entrant's disqualification. Story may not contain quotations or copyrighted materials or entrant will also be disqualified. All words in the Story including the title shall be counted towards the word limit. Any Story or Photo that Sponsor and/or the judges deem, in their sole discretion, to be inappropriate or obscene will be void. Limit one (1) Entry per person/email address for the duration of the Entry Period. Multiple Entries received from any person or e-mail address after the first Entry received from that person or email address will be void. Entries generated by script, macro or other automated means are void. All Entries become the property of Sponsor and will not be acknowledged or returned.

JUDGING: Potential winner will be selected will be selected by a panel of representatives from Sponsor and Promotional Partners on or about August 19, 2008, from all eligible Entries received by the dates specified above, based equally upon the following criteria: originality, creativity, and overall eloquence. The decisions of the judges will be final and binding on all participants. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible Entries received

WINNER NOTIFICATION: Potential winner will be notified by mail, phone, and/or e-mail and may be required to execute and return an affidavit of eligibility, liability release, and where lawful a publicity release within forty-eight (48) hours of date of issuance. Time is of the essence to complete these documents due to time constraints of awarding prize. If such documents are not returned within the specified time period, prize/prize notification is returned as undeliverable, or potential winner is not in compliance with these Official Rules, or Sponsor is unable to contact potential winner within a reasonable time period, prize will be forfeited and, at Sponsor's sole discretion, an alternate winner selected. If a winner is at least 18 but still considered a minor in his/her state of residence, Sponsor reserves the right to award the prize in the name of his/her parent or legal guardian who will be responsible for all requirements imposed on winner set forth herein.

PRIZE: One (1) Winner will receive a date with Colby on August 23, 2008 in New York City location to be determined by Sponsor. Winner will first be outfitted in fashionable attire courtesy of Shvitz Boutique and then Winner will be serenaded by Colby, Approximate Retail Value ("ARV"): $2500.00. Winner must be in New York City by 3pm on August 23, 2008. Winner will be provided pickup and drop-off ground transportation within New York County, New York only. All federal, state and local taxes as well as all other costs and expenses associated with prize acceptance and use not specified herein as being provided are the sole responsibility of the winner. All prize details shall be at Sponsor's sole discretion. Winner may not substitute, assign or transfer prize or redeem prize for cash, but Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to substitute a prize (or portion thereof) with one of comparable or greater value.

GENERAL CONDITIONS: Released Parties (as defined below) are not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, incorrect, inaccurate, stolen, delayed, misdirected, undelivered, garbled or illegible Entries or email; or for lost, interrupted or unavailable network, server, Internet Service Provider (ISP), website, or other connections, availability or accessibility or miscommunications or failed computer, satellite, telephone or cable transmissions, lines, or technical failure or jumbled, scrambled, delayed, or misdirected transmissions or computer hardware or software malfunctions, failures or difficulties, or other errors or malfunctions of any kind whether human, typographical, printing, mechanical, electronic or network relating to or in connection with the contest, including without limitation, errors or malfunctions which may occur in connection with the administration of the contest, the processing of Entries, the announcement of the prize or in any contest-related materials. Released Parties are also not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by site users, tampering, hacking, or by any equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the contest. Released Parties are not responsible for injury or damage to participants' or to any other person's computer related to or resulting from participating in this contest or downloading materials from or use of the web site. Persons who tamper with or abuse any aspect of the contest or website, or who are in violation of these Official Rules, as solely determined by Sponsor, will be disqualified. Should any portion of the contest be, in Sponsor's sole opinion, compromised by virus, worms, bugs, non-authorized human intervention or other causes which, in the sole opinion of Sponsor, corrupt or impair the administration, security, fairness or proper play, or submission of Entries, Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to suspend, modify or terminate the contest and if terminated, at its direction, select the winner from all eligible, non-suspect Entries received prior to action taken. Entrants, by entering and participating in this contest, agree that Sponsor, and its affiliates, Promotional Partners and advertising and promotion agencies, and all of their respective officers, directors, employees, representatives, members, shareholders and agents (collectively, "Released Parties") will have no liability whatsoever for, and shall be held harmless by entrants against, any liability, for any injuries, losses or damages of any kind, including death, to persons, or property resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from acceptance, possession, misuse or use of the prize or participation in this contest. Winner, by acceptance of prize, except where legally prohibited, grants permission for Sponsor and its designees to use his/her name, address (city and state), photograph, voice and/or other likeness and prize information for advertising, trade and promotional purposes without further compensation, in any and all media now known or hereafter discovered, worldwide, and on the Internet, and world wide web, in perpetuity, without notice or review or approval. In the event of a dispute regarding Entries received from multiple users having the same e-mail account, the authorized subscriber of the e-mail account at the time of entry will be deemed to be the entrant and must comply with these Official Rules. Authorized account subscriber is the natural person who is assigned the e-mail address by the Internet Service Provider (ISP), on-line service provider, or other organization responsible for assigning e-mail addresses.
