Before Jennifer Lopez and Eva Mendes, there was Rosie Perez. In her first major acting role in Do the Right Thing, Perez stole the spotlight as Spike Lee’s flamboyant girlfriend. Specifically, it was the choreographer-turned-actress’ mad dancing skills during the opening credits of the film that truly captivated audiences. After that dancetastic intro, all eyes were glued on the spunky Perez.
