Long before directing the High School Musical trilogy and Michael Jackson’s This Is It concert film, Kenny Ortega was a choreographer trying to make his mark in Hollywood. And, boy did he! Following his work on Xanadu, Ortega choreographed Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey’s dancing scenes in Dirty Dancing, including that iconic scene from the dancing finale set to "(I've Had) The Time of My Life" that would stun audiences and ultimately lift Ortega’s career to new heights!
