Ferrera’s glamsformation included shaped brows, understated makeup and smoother locks.” But series creator Silvio Horta didn’t want to completely shock viewers, so he made Betty’s transformation an over-time progression. Betty kept her oversize initial necklace, vibrant ensembles and signature charm. Ferrera had help with her transition from Sex and The City designer Patricia Field, who helped maintain the boldness of Betty’s style.
