Peruvian Mario Vargas Llosa Wins Nobel Literature Prize

Famed author and politician Mario Vargas Llosa, 74, was awarded the Nobel Literature Prize Thursday. Llosa is the first South American to win the prize since his former friend and rival Gabriel Garcia Marquez won the award in 1982, prompting Marquez to tweet this morning “cuentas iguales” (Now we are even).
