For the first time in Super Bowl history, the popular football event will be televised in Spanish on Fox Deportes.

“It’s about time the Spanish-speaking people get to watch a Super Bowl without having to hit the SAP button on the remote,” said Fox Deportes broadcaster John Laguna, according to The Huffington Post. “All the Super Bowls have been broadcast (in parts of Latin America), it’s surprising it has taken so long … this should have happened 10 years ago."

The Fox Deportes broadcaster will be joined by colleague Francisco X. Rivera to call the game.

"We are extremely pleased about our new agreement with the NFL,“ said Jeff Krolik, President, FOX Sports Regional Networks. “Being the first U.S. Spanish-language network to broadcast the Super Bowl is a testament to our continuous efforts to strengthen our programming, and further solidify FOX Deportes as the leader in the Latino sports space."
