Man Deported After Participating in Border-Crossing Demonstration

Dolores Lara, an undocumented immigrant who was part of a group of over 100 immigrants planning to ask to stay in the United States through humanitarian parole or asylum, was deported this week according to The Huffington Post.

Lara crossed the U.S.-Mexico border on Monday as part of "Bring Them Home" -- a protest against family separation as a result of deportations. "He decided to take that risk because he wanted to be with his children, with us," one of Lara's daughter told The Huffington Post.

Demonstrations, such as the one Lara was involved in, have become more frequent as President Obama's administration continues to deport undocumented immigrants living in the U.S.
