George Zimmerman's Best Friend Declares He Was Guilty of Murder

George Zimmerman during his trial

George Zimmerman's best friend and one of his biggest supporters, Frank Taaffe, is now changing his tune and calling Zimmerman a "racist murderer."

According to Gawker, Taaffe has gone from referring to Zimmerman as a victim and hero to saying he should have been found guilty of murdering 17-year-old Trayvon Martin.

"What I know of George and his tendencies and also my opinion is that he racially profiled Trayvon Martin that night because if that had been a white kid on a cell phone, walking through our neighborhood, he wouldn't have stayed on him the way he did and that's a fact and I believe that in my heart," Taaffe said during an interview local TV station News 13.

"I can only ask for the country to forgive me and today I believe that he racially profiled him based on the color of his skin."

Gawker reports that many questioned if this is a publicity stunt on the part of Taaffe, but he says, "No. I'm just working on me right now and getting right with God."
