7 Artists to Watch in 2014!

These musical acts might not be household names quite yet, but they're on their way to making it big! From Fifth Harmony to Mack Wilds, these are the seven artists to watch in 2014:

1. Hurray for the Riff Raff

This American folk-blues group was formed by Alynda Lee Segarra -- a Puerto Rican singer-songwriter who left her hometown of Bronx, NY at age 17 and made her way to New Orleans, where she began her musical career. Hurray for the Riff Raff released a new album called Small Town Heroes on February 11, 2014. SPIN magazine called the band's new album a "gotta hear" and Rolling Stone listed them as part of the magazine's "10 Artists You Need to Know."


2. Maxine Ashley

Born in the Bronx, this 20-year-old singer is known for her mesmerzing voice and rebellious spirit. Maxine Ashley's YouTube channel has over 9 million views and she's Pharrell's protégé, so his musical influence will only continue to help drive her to the top. She recently released a single titled "Perpetual Nights" -- a follow up to her EP Mood Swings.


3. Bodega Bamz

Hailing from Spanish Harlem, Bodega Bamz is a Dominican and Puerto Rican rapper who's been steadily releasing music for the past few years. With the guidance of rappers A$AP Rocky and French Montana, Bodega Bamz is slowly but surely making his way from underground street star to hip-hop game fame.


4. Fifth Harmony

The ladies of Fifth Harmony have really been making a name for themselves since forming on the The X Factor in 2012. Fresh off the "Neon Lights" tour with Demi Lovato, Ally Brooke Hernandez, Normani Hamilton, Dinah Jane Hansen, Camila Cabello, and Lauren Jauregui are preparing to kick-off their headline tour in May 2014. Fifth Harmony is also currently working on an untitled album and will also be touring with Austin Mahone this summer.


5. Kat Dahlia

This 26-year-old Cuban American artist made her debut in March 2013 with her single "Gangsta." Now Kat Dahlia is set to release her debut studio album, My Garden, in May 2014.


6. Jhené Aiko

The 26-year-old singer of Spanish and Dominican descent began her musical career in 2002, and she's been featured on songs with the likes of Big Sean and Drake. Jhené Aiko is expected to release her debut studio album, Souled Out, in May 2014.


7. Mack Wilds

Tristan Wilds, who goes by  Mack Wilds, first signed on to the music scene in 2010. In the summer of 2013, he came back and released his debut album New York: A Love Story. Mack received his first Grammy Award nomination this year and he's currently touring across the U.S.
