Salma Hayek is taking on an exciting new opportunity to work with an international cast.

Variety reports that the Mexican actress is set to star in the new film The Tale of Tales, directed by Italian filmmaker Matteo Garrone. She will co-star alongside French actor Vincent Cassel.

The English-language film is the highly anticipated follow-up to Garrone’s 2012 film Reality, which took home a grand prize at the Cannes Film Festival.

Reportedly, Tale will be Garrone’s most ambitious project yet. The story is set to revisit the traditional Italian fairy tales of Giambattista Basile’s work Lo Cunto de li Cunti and give them a modern twist.

Hayek is also set to star in upcoming flick How To Make Love Like An Englishmen, which co-stars Pierce Brosnan and Jessica Alba. Hopefully, both films will be an upgrade from Grown Up 2which earned her a Razzie nomination for worst performance in a supporting role.

Shooting for Tales set to begin in Italy in the spring! We can’t wait for more details about Salma’s role!
