Mountain Dew, David Guetta Videos Mask Racism Against Mexicans and Blacks as Creativity

Tyler, The Creator and David Guetta must be drinking from the same cup this week. Even though the two artists are on opposite sides of the pop spectrum — Tyler, a shock rapper and Guetta, an EDM star — this week they’ve managed to produce similar pieces of trash. First, Tyler, who has partnered with Mountain Dew, who wants to appeal to the urban audience (read African American and Latino), created one of the most offensive online commercials ever.
In said commercial we’re introduced to Felicia the Goat, voiced by Tyler, who is in a police lineup full of gangsta-fied (grills and the like) African American males while an innocent-looking white woman picks out her attacker. Throughout thevideo, Felicia keeps blurting out the code of the streets, “snitches get stitches, fool” and “when I get outta here, Ima do you up.”
You can’t see the video because video has since been removed by Mountain Dew (“We understand how this video could be perceived by some as offensive, and we apologize to those who were offended," Mountain Dew reps said in a statement. "We have removed the video from all Mountain Dew channels and have been informed that Tyler is removing it from his channels as well.”) — but you get the idea. According to big business, this is how to properly market to the “urban” audience — black criminals, a goat, and a scared white lady. The worst part of it all, they recruited one of hip-hop’s own to do the shucking and jiving. Yes, Tyler is an idiot. You know it, I know it (see his misogynistic "B**** S*** D***"), and even Tyler knows it — he revels in being rap's answer to the Jackass guys. But it doesn't absolve him of any wrongdoing here. He took Mountain Dew’s money and went on to create the goat character himself along with probably the same masterminds behind all those blackface frat parties that flood the cyberstreets.
