Ah, yes, you gotta love summer in the city. The heat, humidity, traffic and noise are enough to make any seasoned city dweller long for a peaceful escape. But with airline prices soaring out of control and gas prices skyrocketing we thought it would be great to explore some great options right in your own backyard.

With gas prices sky rocketing and the price of plan tickets getting totally ridiculous, we here at Latina got bummed at the prospect of a summer without a some sort of vacation. Then it hit us! There's a ton of stuff to do right in your area if you just know where to look.
