7 Reasons to Visit Zoëtry Villa Rolandi in Isla Mujeres, Mexico

With the #1 reason being: a trip here is so incredible, you'll never want to leave.

1. The Setting

The best thing about Isla Mujeres is that it feels like a private escape worlds away, but it's actually only 25 minutes from mainland Cancun, which means it's an extremely easy place to get to. Zoëtry Villa Rolandi is a hidden gem of a boutique hotel that features Endless Privileges, including gourmet dining, a Thalasso Spa, deluxe yacht services (which is probably the best part), countless infinity pools around the property, and some of the most attentive staff you'll ever encounter.

2. The Spa

With impressive state-of-the-art equipment and lavishly tiled rooms, most visitors come for the spa experience at Zoëtry alone. Their signature Thalassotherapy treatments use freshly heated seawater, seaweed and marine mud to infuse the skin with minerals and nutrients, while eliminating toxins through facials, massages, and whole body treatments. In between lazy days at the playa, make sure to book a full day of pampering and swing by the Thalassotherapy seawater pool with hydrojets to relax.

3. The Restaurants

Apart from the incredible views, the stunning property, and the intimate special vibe of Zoëtry, another reason to visit is for the comida. Choose from French-Mexican fusion cuisine at Le Métissage or opt for gourmet Swiss-Northern Italian cuisine at Casa Rolandi. Two of our favorite dishes from Casa Rolandi were the ceviche "Isla Mujeres" style and the tagliollini sautéed with a fresh seafood sauce. You can also take advantage of the Sip, Savor & See dining experience at participating local resorts. Buen Provecho!

4. The Private Yacht

Most hotels provide details on the best way to get to them on their website — Zoëtry however, provides a private yacht for their guests. If you're flying into Cancun, you can wait for the hotel's personal boat to pick you up from a cute tiki stand at Playa Linda Pier while you enjoy a cerveza or two. Then, they keep the party going onboard with beverages for a picturesque 25 minute ride over to the island. Not a bad way to arrive in style.

5. The Rooms

All of the hotel's 35 suites offer Bvlgari bath amenities, beautiful mosaic tile decor, a large private terrace with a hot tub, wireless internet, and a replenished bottle of champagne, daily. The most charming thing about the stained glass windows facing the ocean is that they allow you to witness Isla Mujeres' stunning sunrises — the place where the sun rises first in Mexico.

6. The Sunsets

This photo pretty much sums it up.
