By now, everyone in the country is familiar with Joe the Plumber. Unfortunately for Joe, Sarah Palin’s newest buddy, Tito the Builder, is seriously outshining him. First mentioned by Palin about a week ago, Tito represents the newest embodiment of the regular, everyday, hardworking middle class American the McCain/Palin ticket has been pushing hard to win over since they began their campaign.

Republican Party Lawyer Intimidating Latino Voters in New Mexico

You've certainly heard about ACORN, but have you been keeping tabs on the voter suppression techniques that are being exploited to keep Latinos out of the booths? A perfect example of this can be found in New Mexico, a state that is approximately 40% Latino, giving it the honor of being the most "Latin" state of the union. Among those 1 million Latino residents, almost 70% will be supporting Barack Obama come Nov. 4th. This may be scaring some Republican operatives in the state who have launched a campaign of voter intimidation.

The visions came in fragments, drifting in during the steel gray intervals of relative calm, between gusts of tears and sorrow. I saw dogs. Dogs in confinement, to be precise; abandoned, with desolate eyes staring from cold cages. I’m not quite sure why I thought of shelter dogs in those empty hours following my mother’s death, but for reasons I couldn’t understand at the time, I began to scour the Internet for local shelters.

Boys and girls, pay attention: jet-setting can be hazardous to your health. Just ask Travis Barker, DJ AM, and now, Enrique Iglesias. UK's Sun reports that the Latin popstar's private plan was forced to make an emergency landing at England's Luton Airport on Monday, after one of its engines shut down mid-flight.

Thankfully, unlike Barker and DJ AM, Enrique emerged without a scratch, and once his flight crew rectified the problem, was able to continue his journey.
