POLL: Was Obama Wrong for Calling Kamala Harris the ‘Best Looking’ Attorney General?

President Barack Obama is feeling the heat after making comments about California Attorney General Kamala Harris’ good looks during a fundraiser in Atherton, California on Thursday.

“You have to be careful to, first of all, say she is brilliant and she is dedicated and she is tough, and she is exactly what you’d want in anybody who is administering the law, and making sure that everybody is getting a fair shake. She also happens to be by far the best-looking attorney general in the country — Kamala Harris is here,” he said to a crowd.

In January, Obama signed a Presidential Memorandum promoting gender equality and empowerment for women in the work place. In the Memorandum, the President supported “promoting gender equality and advancing the status of all women and girls around the world remains one of the greatest unmet challenges of our time, and one that is vital to achieving our overall foreign policy objectives.”

The “best-looking attorney general” comment may have made the crowd laugh, but many have given the President flack on Twitter – calling his remark “sexiest” and “awkward.” Others believe that it was just an innocent compliment.

Now we want to hear from you!
