In the midst of Trump’s America, where Immigration policies have rapidly become one of the most prominent discussion topics, Visabot, a Facebook-owned artificial intelligence tech company has launched a service meant to facilitate the intricate process of applying for a green card.
Visabot was launched last November with the slogan, “We help immigrants make America great again.” So far, as many as 70,000 people have found the company useful while dealing with immigration services or filling out visa applications. Last Tuesday at MB 2017, an event hosted by Venturebeat, Visabot’s COO, Andrey Zinoviev, announced, “We created our own immigration AI so our success rate grows as the bot learns. What you need to do is answer are you a US citizen other thing you should know and the bot will use this info to generate the whole package for you all you have to do is file it with US immigration services.”
Visabot’s AI-based green card service includes many helpful resources to complete an application. It guides the user through documentation, applications and interviews. As soon as personal information is entered, the service lets the user know if they are eligible to apply for a green card. Additionally, it is capable of scheduling the interview for the user. The service will give tips for the interview, and you can ask questions by chatting on the messenger.
Here’s a shortlist of some of the paperwork it can fill out:
- Petition for Alien Relative (USCIS Form I-130)
- Application to Register Permanent Residence (USCIS Form I-485)
- Permission for Work Authorization (Optional) (USCIS Form I-765)
At $150, Visabot’s service is meant to be a user-friendly, money-saving tool to ease through the process of completing one of the most complicated applications. Another bot that was created to offer services to U.S. citizens is the DoNotPay bot that helps citizens of certain cities dispute traffic tickets.
