As Eva Longoria prepares to take center stage and introduce President Obama at the Democratic National Convention tonight in Charlotte, North Carolina, she is promising her speech won’t be anything like Clint Eastwood’s “empty chair” speech at the RNC.
The Mexican American actress, and co-chair for President Obama’s campaign, spoke to the Today Show about what fans can expect from her speech. “Everyone keeps comparing us because we’re both from the entertainment industry, but I’m a co-chair for the campaign.”
She adds, “I’ve been talking to the American people, I’ve been out there speaking on behalf of Obama’s record, I’ve been in the trenches…What I’m going to tell the American people is very different than what Clint did. No empty chairs."
