Eva Longoria’s passion for politics continues to impress. The Mexican American actress, and co-chair for President Obama’s campaign, will be one of nine women to speak at the Democratic National Convention in Charlotte, North Carolina, September 4th through 6th.

Cuban journalist and television host, Christina Saralegui will also join the list along with Caroline Kennedy, former Assistant Veterans Affairs Secretary Tammy Duckworth, and president of Planned Parenthood Action Fund Cecile Richards, among others, reports CNN.

Eva, who campaigned for Obama during the last presidential election, previously revealed that her decision to support Obama was pretty clean cut, “I think it’s going to be a pretty clear choice, when the election comes around, of who is for the middle class, who is for women, and who is for Latinas.”

The Desperate Housewives star is also set to host the annual Padres Contra El Cancer fundraiser in late September. As the national spokeswoman for the organization, Eva helps raise funds and awareness about improving the quality of life for many Latino families affected by cancer.

Keep making us proud Eva! What do you think about her forming part of the DNC?
