Father's Day Gadget Guide
By Chris Hermosilla | 06/18/2010 - 12:00

If your papi is like most Latino dads, there are two things he loves to do: Take care of his little girl (no matter how old you are) and have the latest gadgets (even if he's not the most tech-savvy guy around). But this Father's Day, instead of splurging on a new high-tech device that's only going to frustrate him, or getting a gift that he's never going to use (like yet another tie), check out our gadget gift guide for fun and easy items he'll appreciate—all for less than $200!

Bust a Move
By Carla Molina Martins | 05/19/2010 - 14:00

This week the Internet is buzzing with commentary on these little girls dancing to Beyonce's "Single Ladies" in this video. (Check out the video below!)

I find it pretty funny that so many people have their panties in a bunch about these kids. People are saying the dance is too damn sexy. They think the costumes are a tad on the slutty side. They say it's perfect for pedophile consumption. They're bashing the parents of these girls as unfit and careless.

My Proudest Moment
By Carla Molina Martins | 05/05/2010 - 14:00

It's silly the things you're proud of as a parent.  But I think I almost burst with pride when the other day in our living room our 2.9 year old turned on her little radio and started singing along to one of her favorite CDs.

Date Night
By Carla Molina Martins | 05/03/2010 - 18:00

Dates with my husband, the out-of-the-house-dinner-at-a-restaurant-variety, are few and far between these days.  But it's not that kind of dating I'm talking about. When we got pregnant with our second daughter, I read everywhere how important it is to make time for each of your children individually, essentially to go on dates with each of your kids.  I thought it was the sweetest idea and I filed it away for the future.

No Baby in Sight
By Carla Molina Martins | 04/30/2010 - 08:00

Having children has never been a question for me; I've known it in my bones forever.  I even made a pact with myself: If I wasn't married by 30, I'd have a baby with my best guy friend and do the very cool, chic single mother thing (so naive, what part of single motherhood did I think was going to be easy? Even partnered motherhood is hard!). Then, one day, I met my now-husband and, as luck would have it, we both wanted little babies.  Good thing, too, because as soon as you get hitched every relative under the sun starts asking when the babies are coming.

Hello, Hola and Bonjour!
By Carla Molina Martins | 04/28/2010 - 18:00

Have I mentioned I have a bit of a girl crush on lovely Salma Hayek?  I do. I think she's absolutely gorgeous, undeniably talented and smart.  And she's a mom raising a trilingual kid.  Her daughter, Valentina, who is only 2 1/2 years old is already fluent in English, French and Spanish.  Her tot is teaching mami a few tricks and helping Salma learn French. How sweet is that?

What About Your Friends?
By Carla Molina Martins | 04/21/2010 - 18:00

With 29 years of life under my belt and a love for any kind of social event plus a chatty habit of talking up just about anyone, you'd imagine I'd have quite the circle of friends. This, however, is not the case. I walk the line between being an introvert and an extrovert. I love everyone, but don't necessarily like everyone. I have a big network of friends, but mostly folks from my past, dating as far back as preschool.
