All the Single Ladies! Mamis Working It On Their Own
By Mariela Rosario | 09/23/2011 - 14:30 | 9 Comments
Christina Milian, who turns the big 3-0 Monday, September 26th, recently opened up about the challenges of balancing her career with being a single mami.
“With the career that I have, it’s very spontaneous. You never know when a job is going to pop up [and] where you’re going to be, so it could be a challenge to figure out traveling with the baby or who’s around that can help me out," she admitted. "I have a nanny, thank God, so she has made my life a lot easier.”
Not all mamis have the advantage of having a helping hand in the form of a nanny, but there is something comforting in knowing that every single mother struggles to find balance—even celebrities!
Here's an ode to some of our fave ladies raising babies on their own.
Single Mami: CHRISTINA MILIAN
Children: A baby girl named Violet
Christina became the proud mama to her beautiful baby girl Violet Madison Nash on February 26th, 2010. It is her first and only child with her ex-husband, music producer The-Dream (aka Terius Nash). The couple divorced shortly after the birth of their daughter when compromising photos surfaced of Nash frolicking on the beach with his assistant. “There’s a certain responsibility that I carry being a mom that makes me feel very confident and so blessed,” Milian told us. “Being a mom is the best thing that’s ever happened to me.”
