We are also less likely to get regular checkups, making the death rate among us 50% higher than white women’s. And a new survey from the Gynecologic Cancer Foundation showed that while 89% of women don’t feel they’re at risk, 80% will get HPV in their lifetime. These are scary stats for the second most common cancer among women worldwide.

After several months of silence, ailing former Cuban leader Fidel Castro on Wednesday finally resurfaced. Castro, 82, posted to his column on Cuban-run website cubadebate.cu. According to Reuters UK, at one point in 2008, he was averaging 8 columns a month; the most recent message from Castro comes after more than a month of absence, leading to speculation over his ill health.
