The nation is in mourning after a gunman entered Pulse, a gay nightclub in Orlando, Florida, early Sunday morning killing at least 50 people and wounding 53 others in the worst mass shooting in U.S. history.

The city of Orlando began releasing names of the deceased on Sunday, and most of the victims appear to be Latino. Orlando itself has one of the fastest-growing Latino populations in the country, and Saturday, the night of the mass killing, is Latin-themed at the club.

Ahead, the names of the 33 victims who have been identified:

Stanley Almodovar III

Almodovar, a pharmacy technician living in Clemont but originally from Spingfield, Mass, was 23 years old.

 

 

Luis S. Vielma

Vielma, 22, worked in the Harry Potter section of the Universal Studios theme park in Orlando.

 

 

Peter O. Gonzalez-Cruz

Gonzalez-Cruz was a UPS worker who went to school in New Jersey and previously lived in South Africa.

 

 

Eric Ortiz

Ortiz, 36 from Puerto Rico, lived in Miami.

 

 

Luis Omar Ocasio-Capo

Ocasio-Capo, 20, was a Cleveland-based dancer visiting family in Orlando.

 

Edward Sotomayor

Sotomayor, 34, was a manager at Al and Chuck Travel, a gay travel agency in Sarasota, FL.

 

Anthony Luis Laureano Disla

Laureano, 25, was from San Juan, Puerto Rico but lived in Orlando.

 

Jean Carlos Mendez Perez

Mendez Perez, a Puerto Rico native, was 35 years old. He attended Pulse with his partner, Luis Daniel Wilson-Leon, who was also killed.

 

Luis Daniel Wilson-Leon

Wilson-Leon, described as a “wonderful young man full of life,” was 37.

 

 

Amanda Alvear

Alvear, a Puerto Rican living in Orlando, was 25. A video on her Snapchat captured shots from the massacre.

 

 

Mercedez Marisol Flores

Flores, who was at Pulse with Alvear, was 26. She was from Queens, New York but lived in Davenport, Florida.
