On Monday, Latino activists are gathering in Dallas for a "Dump the Trump" march. The League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC) will join other local activistas for a counter-protest at GOP presidential frontrunner Donald Trump’s campaign rally at the city’s American Airlines Center at Victory Park at 6 p.m.

Dressed in red, white and blue, more than 1,500 protestors are expected to partake in the march, with a bus picking up folks as far away as Houston.

"We are not political piñatas," Domingo Garcia, a lawyer and president of LULAC Council 102, said. "Trump is turning Americans on each other with his hateful and racist rhetoric. We will show him that Americans believe in inclusion and being a country of immigrants."

According to Garcia, the demonstrators are coming together to counter the messages that Trump, who has referred to Mexicans as drug-runners and rapists and vowed to deport all undocumented immigrants, has been spreading since announcing his bid for presidency in June.

"That's a message that we believe needs to be countered," Garcia told The Dallas Morning News. "Especially here in Texas, which has had a bi-cultural, bilingual history since the beginning of its foundation."
