How Latinas Are Influencing Products You’ll Be Buying

You can’t deny a Latina’s buying power. According to NBC Latino, more Latinas than ever before are influencing the preferences of the U.S. Hispanic market, whose buying power is worth $1.2 trillion annually.

Latinas in the United States and their purchasing power and consumption habits are the focus of a new Nielsen report. Released this week, the report titled “Latina Power Shift” estimates approximately 86 percent of Latinas consider themselves the ones who make the decisions when it comes to household spending.

Also according to the report, Latinas are a “key growth engine of the U.S. female population” and are expected to become 30 percent of the total female population by 2060. By that time, no single dominant ethnic group is expected to exist.
