And it's official! George Zimmerman's wife Shellie has filed for divorce less than two months following his acquittal in the murder of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin, according to ABC News.

The filing comes just days after Shellie told ABC News she would need to think about whether or not she would stay married to her husband. Shellie blames their split on his "selfish" attitude.

ABC News reports the divorce papers, which were filed on Thursday, stated that the couple, who married in 2007, "separated on August 13, 2013 and are not presently cohabiting as husband and wife. The marriage between the two parties is irretrievably broken."

A spokesman from George's legal team told ABC there would be no comment surrounding the divorce.
