Whole Foods Workers Suspended for Speaking Spanish

Okay chicas, now you tell us if this is fair or not! A Whole Foods store in Albuquerque, New Mexico, suspended two of its employees last month for complaining about not being able to speak Spanish to each other while on the job.

Fox News Latino reported that employee Bryan Baldizan and a female co-worker were suspended for a day for writing a letter after they were told by a manager that they were not allowed to speak Spanish to one another during work hours.

Whole Foods officials made them aware of company policy and then proceeded to suspend them. "I couldn't believe it," said Baldizan.  "All we did was say we didn't believe the policy was fair. We only talk Spanish to each other about personal stuff, not work."
