At the start of the video, the woman, later identified as Tiffany Cormier, is heard telling someone on the phone, “I’m in Manassas, in the ghetto.” She was apparently unhappy that she had to visit two stores to get assistance for the service she needed. Trying to help, a man in the background says there is a store nearby in Fairfax, Va., but the woman wasn't having it.

“I wasn’t talking to you. And don’t listen to my conversation,” she says. “You better watch who the f**k you’re talking to ’cause I’m not the one.”

The man, still not on camera, calmly responds, “My name is Juan,” which seems to piss Cormier off even more.

“I don’t give a f**k what your name is,” the woman replies.

“All right,” the man says.

“You see my husband standing there, right? Keep talking shit and watch and see if you don’t meet that,” the woman adds.

“Yeah, I’m right here,” the man responds.

“And I ain’t got no nails on. I’ll f**king fight today because I ain’t got shit to break,” the woman continues. “I ain’t scared of no f**king spic. This is my f**king country.”

The man is then seen leaving the store, saying “take it easy” as he walks away.

“They need to take his f**king ass back to Mexico,” the woman says.

Sprint president and CEO Marcelo Claure responded immediately to the incident, releasing a statement that lambastes the video, saying, “this behavior violates a fundamental Sprint value of treating everyone with respect.”

“Unfortunately, we’re seeing an increase in hate speech like this across the country. No one deserves to hear this kind of language,” the statement read. “This has got to stop. It’s time to talk. It’s time to learn. It’s time to heal.”

Claure invited the woman and her husband, who happens to be Latino, to "meet privately" with him to “understand what drives comments and behavior like this” and share his own views on the matter. Claure has also invited the customer who was attacked to a meeting.

“This kind of behavior is not tolerated in any Sprint workplace. We value our diverse customer base and thousands of minority employees. We will confront head-on those who violate the respect that our customers and employees deserve,” Claure added.

Cormier, who worked in the payroll department at American Airlines, has been terminated, according to The Root. “We don’t tolerate discrimination at American Airlines, and we are looking into these allegations,” an airline representative, who didn't confirm the employee's status, told the news site.
