Undocumented Immigrants' Population Growth, Map Proves Not Just in Border States

Texas also witnessed a growth in its undocumented population; The Lone Star State’s undocumented immigrants ballooned by 64 percent, and in Washington, the same group grew its presence by 51 percent.

According to the report, an estimated 3 million new undocumented immigrants were added to the U.S. population in the decade ending in 2011 – bringing the total in the U.S. to 11.5 million. No telling how this new infographic will piece into the current debate on immigration reform, but as Face the Facts USA puts it, “the flow of illegal immigrants in to the United States continues, and it’s not an issue confined to a few border states.” To view more of the whole infographic, click here.
