Is Thalia a Donald Trump supporter?
Rumors have been swirling that that the singer is supporting the Republican presidential nominee after a photo she posted in December 2014 showed her posing in front of one of his helicopters. Fans even started calling Thalia #LadyTrump on social media.
"Traveling #Trump style. Feeling the apprentice all the way," she captioned the photo from two years ago.
It didn't get any better after Thalia's sister, Laura Zapata, confirmed that her little sis and hubby, Tommy Mottola, were friends with Trump.
“It was confirmed that they are friends,” she sad on Hoy, according to Televisa. “You can’t be in both waters, I say.”
Thalia recently deleted the photo of her in front of Trump's helicopter and took to Facebook to clear up the rumors.
“I want to be 100 percent clear about this: I am not a supporter and never would be a supporter of Donald Trump. I have never been a supporter of his campaign, or anyone for that matter, who has such bad feelings and ill-fated intentions toward my country,” she wrote. “I am a Mexican woman, and very proud of it. Anyone who speaks of my people in that way offends me and, by the way, everyone in my country as well. Once again, I would like to emphasize that I have not and will never be a supporter of Donald Trump.”
The 45-year-old has never publicly spoken out about any candidate in the U.S. elections but she did sing in Emilio Estefan's song, "We are all Mexican" to respond to Trump's comments directed at people from Mexico.
We are glad to see that these rumors have been cleared up.
