A Texas woman died on Friday while riding a roller coaster at a Six Flags in Dallas.
According to NBC Latino, Rosy Esparza was killed when she was ejected from a roller coaster at the Dallas theme park. It was Esparza's first trip to the park.
The Dallas Morning News reports that a restraint came loose and she plummeted to the ground from the Texas Giant, a hybrid steel and wooden roller coaster.
Six Flags Over Texas released a statement following the incident:
“Our thoughts and prayers are with the family. The investigation into the death at Texas Giant is still ongoing. We are working closely with authorities to determine the cause of the accident.
The ride will remain closed. In addition, we have canceled the concert that was scheduled for today.”
