Today, February 8, is a day for Cheddar—a live streaming financial news network—to push the envelope. The service, which broadcasts daily in NYC and D.C., covers tech, products, services, and entertainment.
The powers that have devoted an eight-hour show to #chedHER, a special day of news, info, and commentary celebrating women in tech, politics, media, sport, science, and business.
The entire programming schedule will be boosted by #girlpower, as all of the guests and anchors will be women, including Latina’s very own Co-President Robyn Moreno, Elaine Paul, CFO of Hulu, Rep. Barbara Lee of California, two-time Olympic soccer gold medalist Hope Solo, and Linda McMahon wrestling magnate and head of the U.S. Small Business Administration.
Moreno will join a roundtable about the importance of diversity in the media at 1 p.m. EST. Throughout the day, #chedHER’s guests will discuss successes and challenges in their fields, spotlight where change is happening and what needs to happen to next.
Cheddar’s Chief People Officer and General Counsel, Anjali Kumar, said it’s a day dedicated to the advancing the conversation and supporting women’s rally cry to bring positive change to the workplace and government. “Ultimately, we hope that using our platform for this event inspires people to see change is happening and sparks them to take actions that result in real change across all industries,” Kumar said via a statement.
