Earlier this week, the Pope offered his blessings to a group of living miracles. Pope Francis met with the Chilean miners during a gathering in Rome to celebrate the fifth anniversary of their rescue. The 33 miners, who were trapped for two months, inspired the upcoming film The 33, starring Antonio Banderas.
According to a Facebook post shared by the movie's official page, the pontiff personally greeted the miners and their families and presented them with personalized gifts. He also blessed 5-year-old Esperanza Ticona, the baby born while her father awaited rescue in the mine.
The miners gave the Pope a helmet signed by each of them. They ended the celebration with a screening of The 33, which hits U.S. theaters on November 13.
