Mobile App Helps Immigrants Apply for Citizenship

According to ABC Univision, the CitizenshipWorks app allows immigrants to provide a bit of information about their specific situation, and leads each user to a checklist of the documents they need to provide, as part of the naturalization process. 

It's important to note that there are already other apps that offer legal advice for those seeking citizenship in the United States, but O'Brien said that CitizenshipWorks is the only one that offers what he calls a "holistic" approach to the process.

Currently the app is designed for those who have already obtained green cards, but those behind it say the aproach could be used to help the nation's undocumented immigrants apply for citizenship as well, should the current reform bill become signed into law.

There are currently about 11 million undocumented immigrants in the U.S.
